I provide therapeutic counselling for youth, adults and couples in a safe, nurturing environment to help you increase your self awareness and make the changes you desire. Some of the issues I am able to help you with include but are not limited to:

*abuse/trauma/PTSD *grief and loss *disordered eating, body image and self esteem/acceptance
*life transitions *work stress/career issues *issues relating to parenting, separation & divorce
*frustration and anger *sexual orientation issues *spirituality, including finding meaning and purpose
Please feel free to contact me to arrange a free 20 minute phone consultation. Clients report that this is a great opportunity to get to know me, ask questions and to tell me briefly about the challenges they are facing. In a phone consultation, I will be able to tell you how I can help. There is no obligation to return.
Fees and Appointments
I operate on a fee for service basis. The fees you are paying include the time during our session and other necessary preparation time, including record keeping. My fee for a 50 minute individual session is $120.00 (no GST). In some situations, I am able to offer a sliding scale. Please inquire.
I also offer flexible hours to accommodate your schedule. Please contact me to arrange an appointment. Please note that I have a cancellation policy that requires 24 hours notice otherwise a charge may be applied. I accept cash, cheque, credit card or e-transfer at the time of appointment.
First Nations Health Authority Approved Therapist
If you meet the eligibility requirements, the First Nation's Health Authority provides three streams of funding for mental health counselling - The Mental Health Support Program for Indian Residential School Survivors (and family members); The Short Term Crisis Intervention Mental Health Program and the Murdered and Missing Indigienous Women and Girls program. If you think you may be eligible please contact me or you are welcome to contact FNHA directly. Once we confirm you are eligible, we can arrange a first appointment.
I invite you to check with your extended health plan, insurance company and/or employment assistance program to determine if they will cover session fees. You may also be able to report counselling fees on your tax return.
